ABOUT THE ROLE

The RD&

A manager will lead and develop the Bakery applications team across
Europe & Russia region and be accountable for delivery of applications
& technical support enabling execution of Bakery End Use Market (EUM)
strategies.

Lead and manage the development and validation of application recipes,
as well as developing innovative applications solutions to support the
delivery of profitable growth for the Bakery EUM.

Ensure that the relevant technical resource across the region are
fully utilized to deliver the Bakery EUM pipeline on time in full.

Collaborate with Kerry Foundational Technology leads to support
delivery of technical advancements to the Bakery EUM.

Propose and support innovation concepts through global innovation
projects pipeline.

Be the recognised "go to" technical expert for bakery products,
processes and provide expertise and insight in the application of
Kerry technologies into bakery products. Continuously maintain up to
date bakery technical, product and market knowledge.

As part of the Bakery SEUM management team collaborate with commercial
and marketing teams as well as customers to support strategic business
initiatives, strategic planning, sustainability, etc to drive
profitable growth in the Bakery SEUM.

This is a Permanent Role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Ensure resources and talent are in place to deliver on Bakery EUM
strategies.
* Responsible for delivery of customer and internal opportunities as
assigned, lead pipeline execution calls, constructively challenge and
input into daily/weekly/monthly pipeline approvals and reviews.
* Present to customers and internal stakeholders to deliver customer
wins and progress strategic projects.
* Lead, support and guide a high performing applications and
technical sales team fully integrated with Bakery EUM leadership and
Food RD&

A team.
* Embed Kerry technologies as part of ongoing team activities,
aligned to Kerry strategic growth pillars and sustainability targets.
* Support a range of internal technical excellence initiatives.
* Enable the team to leverage central resources, support innovation
and cross regional initiatives as appropriate.
* Proactively support the development of team members ensuring goals,
development goals, career conversations are focused on developing
capability, preparing potential leaders and subject matter experts of
the future and supporting career growth and satisfaction.

_QUALIFICATIONS_ and skills

* Technical background with BSc Food science-based degree or
equivalent relevant professional experience and trade qualifications.

application, development, innovation, management roles.
* Significant experience in industrial bakery
manufacturing/processing and GMP.
* Good knowledge of bakery products including Bread, Fermented goods,
Yeast raised laminated products, Cakes, Biscuits, Crackers etc.
* Good knowledge of ingredient product categories such as processing
aids and functional ingredients (e.g. enzymes, emulsifiers, clean
label preservatives, flavourings etc.)
* Significant business and commercial understanding of bakery
industry and customers.
* Experience in customer interaction and customer driven technical
support.
* Excellent communication skills to collaborate with other business
functions, in particular commercial, RD&

A development teams, Regulatory and senior management level within the
business and a broad range of stakeholders.
* Competent in IT applications relevant to role.
* Organisational skills to independently prioritise, plan and execute
technical work programmes to deliver agreed strategic business plans
and solutions.
* Written communication skills to maintain clear & concise records of
projects, pipeline execution, validations, as well as team and
customer communications.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

* Detailed knowledge of bakery industrial applications across
multiple markets/geographies
* Detailed knowledge of bakery product NPD from concept, prototyping
through to market launch.
* Detailed knowledge of quality control in industrial bakery and
bakery product NPD systems
* Understanding of supply chain in industrial bakery
* Fully mobile - role based in Naas but mobility to support sales and
customer technical challenges across entire Europe & Russia region.
